And why is it that it seems we usually had the answer all along?

Of all the people i currently know i never expected it to be my local hummer limo guy who would let me in on a few little tricks y0u can pay attention to that really improve your health.

I mean my hummer limo guy was fit and doing very well with the company’s he was working with, but he did not strike me as the health crazed type.

It’s no secret that there are hundreds of fad diets out there, and while many of them are focusing on aesthetic reasons for dieting, like changing your body, losing weight or trying to look and feel a certain way, very few of these diets focus on health and well-being.

The healthiest eating habits begin with focusing on how you feel in your body and in relation to food. The most crucial elements of eating are digestion and elimination. When we consider these aspects and their important for nutrient absorption and distribution within the body, we allow ourselves an opportunity to eat for health, rather than for body image.

Chewing your food

The best habit you can take up for healthy eating, it proper chewing. It may sound silly, but most people eat quickly, do not chew their food sufficiently and often time swallow entire chunks of undomesticated food, which ultimately is very hard for the stomach to process. Not only is it difficult for the stomach to digest food that isn’t completely chewed but it may not be able to extract all the nutrients, or would have to work much harder to do so. This can lead to nutrient deficiency or a tendency to over-eat in order to compensate for hunger and lack of nutrients in the body, when all that is needed is a bit more chewing. Proper chewing does not mean simply breaking the food down enough for it to be swallowed, it means grinding it into a paste so that your body can process it. Chew mindfully, and with every bite, remember that you are feeding your body with nutrients and that the more you chew, the more you’ll get out of your food – literally!

Drinking enough water

It is important to drink your body weight in ounces of water on a daily basis. This may sound like a lot, and if it does you may be chronically dehydrated. The body cannot eliminate properly without fluids, nor can it properly distribute nutrients through the body without relying on those fluids. If the fluids in our bodies are not replenished adequately, the body has to work harder in order to distribute the nutrients of what we have eaten, and this can cause fatigue, digestive discomfort, and difficulty eliminating. Make sure that you give your body enough to work with by also keeping it properly hydrated. Drink in smaller doses throughout the day, rather than a large amount at once (which can be difficult for the stomach), and which helps the body process food without affecting digestive enzymes.

Fiber and elimination

Fiber is very important for elimination, and elimination is very important for your health. So, while it may seem counter intuitive, proper elimination is actually one of the best things you can focus your energy on when it comes to healthy eating. This means eating enough fibers, from grains or fruits and vegetables, so that the body is able to get rid of accumulated waste. Consuming fiber cleans out the colon. When the colon is clean from waste, it can do a better job of absorbing the types of nutrients that can only be absorbed probably in that part of the digestive system. So by increasing your intake of fruits, vegetables and healthy whole grains, you’re doing your body a big favor.

Reducing refined sugars

Refined sugars have very little nutritional value, and while many people love their sugar, it really isn’t doing your body any favors. Cutting down on sugar is one of the best things you can do for your health, and if you retain nothing else from this article, keep in mind that eliminating sugar partially or completely will have excellent overall health benefits.
